SMS Privacy Policy for Text Messages
Last updated: July 11, 2026
1. Program Description
American US Insurance offers a text-messaging (SMS/MMS) program to communicate with consumers and customers who provide their mobile number and consent. Messages may include quote follow-ups, appointment and application updates, policy and account servicing notifications, requests for information needed to complete your request, and occasional related offers.
2. Consent (Opt-In)
By providing your mobile number and agreeing to be contacted — for example, by checking the consent box on a form on our Site, giving your number to our staff, or otherwise expressly requesting text messages — you consent to receive text messages from American US Insurance at that number, including messages sent using automated technology. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.
3. No Sharing of Mobile Opt-In Data — Important
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information-sharing with subcontractors who support our services (for example, a messaging platform provider) is limited to that support purpose. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties for their own use.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us (for example, in response to a quote request or ongoing servicing).
5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. American US Insurance does not charge for the messages, but your carrier's standard rates apply.
6. Opt-Out
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message from us. You may also use other reasonable methods, such as replying UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT, emailing support@amerinsured.com, or calling 1-800-868-9170. After you opt out, we will send a one-time confirmation and will stop sending marketing/promotional texts. We honor opt-out requests within the time required by law.
7. Help
For help, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at 1-800-868-9170 or support@amerinsured.com.
8. Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to carrier availability.
9. State Notices
For recipients with Florida numbers, we send solicitation texts only between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the recipient's local time and honor STOP requests as required by the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act. For recipients with Texas numbers, we observe applicable Texas restrictions on marketing text messages. You can always reach a person at 1-800-868-9170.
10. Privacy
Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. This SMS Policy supplements, and is incorporated into, our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
11. Changes and Contact
We may update this SMS Policy from time to time; changes are effective when posted. Questions: 1-800-868-9170 · support@amerinsured.com.
