1. Introduction
American Insurance Nation, Inc d/b/a American US Insurance ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use amerinsured.com (the "Site") and when you become our consumer or customer. 2. Information We Collect
Information you provide: name, contact details (address, email, phone), and the details you share when requesting a quote or service, which may include information about your home, auto, property, business, health-related eligibility, drivers, dependents, and existing coverage.
Nonpublic personal financial information (NPI): information you give us on applications or forms, information about your transactions with us or others, and information we obtain from third parties (such as insurance carriers, consumer or motor-vehicle reports, and claims history) in connection with providing you a quote or service.
Information collected automatically: when you use the Site, we and our analytics providers may collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and similar usage data through cookies and similar technologies (including Google Analytics 4). We also use Google reCAPTCHA to protect our forms from abuse; your use of it is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to: prepare and provide insurance quotes; submit applications to carriers on your request; service and maintain your account and policies; respond to inquiries; contact you by phone, text, and email (see our Terms of Service and SMS Privacy Policy); improve and secure the Site; and comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, and measure performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings. You may opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Because the standard is not uniformly recognized, we do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
5. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to serve you and as permitted by law, including with:
- Insurance carriers and their representatives, to obtain quotes, place coverage, and service policies at your request;
- Service providers that support our operations (for example, our customer-relationship management and communications platforms), under obligations to protect the information;
- Affiliates, as permitted by law; and
- Government, regulatory, or legal authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell your nonpublic personal information. We do not share the information you provide with nonaffiliated third parties for their own marketing except as permitted by law and, where required, after giving you an opportunity to opt out. Mobile phone opt-in data is subject to additional restrictions described in our SMS Privacy Policy and is never shared with third parties for marketing.
6. Your GLBA Privacy Choices
Under GLBA and applicable state insurance regulations, you may have the right to limit certain sharing of your NPI with nonaffiliated third parties. To exercise any available opt-out, contact us at support@amerinsured.com or 1-800-868-9170. We will describe your options and honor valid requests as required by law.
7. Data Security
Consistent with the GLBA Safeguards Rule, we maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the security, confidentiality, and integrity of the information in our care. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide services, maintain your policies and records, and comply with legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations, after which we take steps to delete or de-identify it.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of certain personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. Note that information governed by GLBA and insurance regulation may be exempt from some state privacy-law rights. To make a request, contact us at support@amerinsured.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity.
10. Text Messaging
Our text-messaging practices, including consent and opt-out, are described in our SMS Privacy Policy. No mobile information (including phone numbers and SMS opt-in/consent) is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
11. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
